20 Must Try Recipes Using Cadbury Creme Easter Eggs

March 29, 2023 by Shellie Wilson

Cadbury Creme Eggs have been a staple of Easter celebrations since their introduction in 1963. These delightful treats have captured the hearts of people all around the world with their smooth fondant centers and rich chocolate shells. The popularity of Cadbury Creme Eggs has only grown over the years, and they have become a beloved Easter tradition in many households.

A bit of a history of Cadbury and Creme Egg

Cadbury, a British confectionery company, first introduced the Creme Egg as a limited edition product in the UK. The product was so popular that it became a regular Easter offering in the UK in 1971. It was only in 1985 that the Creme Egg made its way across the Atlantic to the US, where it quickly gained a following.

The Cadbury Creme Egg is a chocolate egg filled with white and yellow fondant. The white fondant represents the egg white, while the yellow fondant represents the yolk. The chocolate shell is made from Cadbury’s Dairy Milk chocolate, which gives it its unique and delicious flavor. You have to have a sweet tooth for the fondant, for me it is super sweet.

Over the years, Cadbury has come up with many creative ways to enjoy their Creme Eggs. From classic Creme Egg-filled cupcakes to decadent Creme Egg cheesecake, the possibilities are endless. It’s no wonder that people are always searching for new and exciting ways to incorporate these delicious treats into their favorite desserts.

One of the reasons why Cadbury Creme Eggs have remained so popular is their limited availability. They are only available during the Easter season, which makes them a special treat that people look forward to all year round. In addition, the unique combination of chocolate and fondant is a crowd-pleaser, and it’s hard to resist the creamy, sweet filling that oozes out of the egg.

Another reason for the continued popularity of Cadbury Creme Eggs is their nostalgic value. Many people have fond memories of enjoying Creme Eggs as children, and they continue to enjoy them as adults. For many, the arrival of the Creme Eggs on store shelves signals the start of spring and the beginning of Easter celebrations.
