I drink a lot of wine. I always have an open bottle of Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc in the fridge. I go to wineries and tastings. I even appreciate subtle differences at said tastings. But given all of that, I still know next to nothing about wines. It just doesn’t stick to me. Cringe away, sommeliers and wine connoisseurs, but when I walk in a wine shop, I wander the aisles and choose my wines based on the price tag ($10 to 15) and coolness of label. Really. So I should find this wine label guide over at Grub Street extremely useful, accompanied by “what to expect” analysis. Spotted on the kitchn.
