Sailboat Rice Krispies Treats

July 21, 2015 by Carolyn Bickford

sailboat rice krispies treat
These would be cute for a nautical party. Maybe you are planning a 1st birthday party for a boy, these would be a cute addition. Although, you will want to keep these in a cool area, before the party. The Candy Melts sails may not last very long in the heat.

Colors of the Rainbow Salad

July 18, 2015 by Carolyn Bickford

colors of the rainbow salad
This salad is beautiful! I can see why Foodies like to photograph their foods. This is like a masterpiece. Okay, now on to the fact that it is healthy and made from fresh fruits, flowers and items from the garden. I would get the flowers from the Farmer’s Market or an organic store to make sure there are no chemicals.… Read More ...

July 16, 2015 by Carolyn Bickford

maple-bacon-bourbon-popsicles
For the foodies! Here is a popsicle for you to try. This might go well at a barbecue for the adults. I like the sound of maple and bacon, but I don’t know about it as a popsicle. If you love popsicles, Sheri participated in a popsicle week and has links to many other sites for popsicle recipes.

Watermelon Inspired layer Cake

July 16, 2015 by Carolyn Bickford

watermelon inspired layered cake
What a great surprise when you cut into this cake! Each layer of the cake is part of a watermelon. I love that they used mini chocolate chips for the seeds. What a great birthday cake for a watermelon lover or for a barbecue. Although, I would probably make the cake out of an actual watermelon too.

Sour Worm Popsicles

July 14, 2015 by Carolyn Bickford

Worm-Popsicles
Here is an extra fun treat to help the kids cool off this summer. Sure they will be happy with a popsicle, but they will be even more happy when they see the gummy worms. I bet you could use gummy bears too. This would be a fun treat that you and the kids can make together.

Strawberry Lemonade Ice Cream Pie

July 14, 2015 by Carolyn Bickford

strawberry lemonade ice cream pie
Nothing says summer like lemonade and fresh strawberries. Even better strawberry and lemonade mixed together. This ice cream pie looks like the best dessert to have after the barbecue. This would also be a great dessert for a bridal shower or baby shower. I’d appreciate this over a birthday cake for my birthday.

July 12, 2015 by Carolyn Bickford

Root-beer-Float-Ice-Cream-Sandwich
I have not had a root beer float in a long time! These ice cream sandwiches look good and I bet will bring you back to the good old days. I guess it is time to find some root beer extract and try these out along with an actual float.

Ice Cream Roses Tutorial

July 9, 2015 by Carolyn Bickford

Pink-Champagne-Ice-Cream-Roses-
As I checked out Pinterest, I noticed there were lots of pictures of gelato shaped into roses in a cone. How pretty I thought. I started to search for someone that has a tutorial and I found 1 Fine Cookie made some for Mother’s Day. Plus, she has a recipe for pink champagne ice cream. Currently there are pictures, … Read More ...

Ice Cream Sundae Brick

July 8, 2015 by Carolyn Bickford

Ice-Cream-Sundae-Brick
What a fun way to serve ice cream. Of course if you have a picky ice cream eater, then you may want to stick to serving ice cream separately. When this was made it was for the 4th of July, but you can create with all of your favorite flavors. I like that you can eat it with the popsicle … Read More ...

Strawberry Sunburst Cocktail

July 7, 2015 by Carolyn Bickford

Strawberry-Sunburst-Cocktail
I love strawberry lemonade and this one has a little kick to it. There is a recipe for strawberry lemonade after the cocktail or you can buy some at the store. I’m thinking another way to use up those fresh picked strawberries, besides the yummy smoothies. Taylor has some other refreshing looking cocktails at the end of her blog.

Banana Pudding Ice Cream

July 5, 2015 by Carolyn Bickford

banana-pudding-ice-cream
Can I get a “Oh Yeah”! I really should move to the Southern states! I love banana pudding and love Christin from Spicy Southern Kitchen for coming up with this ice cream. We can only find decent banana pudding at barbecue restaurants and I haven’t found an ice cream location that makes this flavor. So unfair! Next paycheck is going … Read More ...

July 5, 2015 by Carolyn Bickford

Key-Lime-Coconut-Cupcakes
The tropics are calling you! Buy a kiddy pool and imagine being on a tropical beach with the palm trees blowing in the wind. These will be a hit at any summer party. I might even save this recipe for the winter months, when I need to remember that summer isn’t far off.

As an adult, I would enjoy seeing this sandwich on a plate. It might be too cute to eat! This would be great for a kids party or just to add a little extra summer fun to lunch or dinner. June 26, 2015 by Carolyn Bickford

beach candle by Sugartown Sweets
I had to look twice when I saw this suggestion from Sugartown Sweets. This candle is so real looking and yet you can eat it. This would be great for any celebration and you can change the colors around. You guests will do a second take when they see you cut into this centerpiece.
