How in the world have I not yet shared MACTWEETS with you? I was so sure I did. Maybe I did and it’s lost. Regardless, if I did, then it bears repeating. Now that the macaron craze is fully established, bakers need to get clever. Cupcakes had the same pressure to keep up with their popularity and continued to reinvent themselves. Now macarons are picking up picking up this Madonna philosophy and getting creative.
MacTweets, created by Jamie of Life’s a Feast and Deeba of Passionate about Baking, is dedicated to inspiring macaron art and encouraging home bakers to submit their macaron masterpieces. Each month, Jamie and Deeba pose a themed macaron challenge. The latest roundup: Childhood Summer Memories. Shown are S’mores macarons from Sue at Munchkin Munchies, Oriole and Rambutan macarons from Test with Skewer and malted milk macarons from Daydreamer Dessert.
The next roundup will be all about Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Can’t wait to see the creations! My favorite roundup so far? Summer flick inspired macarons.

Meaghan, this is so thrilling! Thanks for highlighting Mactweets and spreading the word about our macaron challenges. We all truly have a great time baking together in our virtual Mactweets kitchen and sharing information, tips, advice as well as laughs, encouraging pats on the back and a lot of high fives!

How wonderful of you to mention oour mac-obsessed group here Meaghan. It’s a wonderful playing ground, with ‘feet’ in every hue threatening to take over petit fours! Yes, the summer flick ones are one of my faves as well. PINK for October was close to our heart, and Jamie & I are so thrilled to see the response!
