In a large bowl, beat sugar, 1/2 cup butter, the molasses and eggs with an electric mixer or mix with spoon the old fashioned elbow grease way. Stir in the flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, the allspice and water.
Fill each cupcake case.
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool before icing.
For frosting:
1?2cup butter, room temperature
3 3?4 cups of powdered/icing sugar.
3 -4 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
Frost the cupcakes and sprinkle with Gingerbread man sprinkles.
Finish off with a salted caramel drizzle.
