The #1 SnickerDoodle Recipe

This Snickerdoodle recipe is #1. It’s the best of the best when it comes to Snickerdoodles, You get around 30 cookies out of this dough and If you like a chewy cookie then pull them out at 10 mins.

1 cup of unsalted butter

1 1?2 cups sugar

2 large eggs

2 3?4 cups of Plain flour

2 teaspoons cream of tartar

1 teaspoon baking soda

1?4 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons sugar 

3 teaspoons cinnamon powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

 

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Mix butter and  1 1/2 cups of sugar,  vanilla extract and eggs thoroughly in a large bowl with a wooden spoon.

Combine the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.

Sift the dry ingredients into the butter mixture and form a dough.

Chill the dough, and chill a cookie sheet for 15 minutes in the fridge.

Mix 3 tablespoons of sugar, and 3 teaspoons cinnamon in a small bowl this is the topping.

place one 1 inch balls of dough into the sugar/ cinnamon mixture and coat by gently rolling balls of dough in the sugar mixture.

Place on chilled lined cookie sheet and bake for 12 mins.

    What kind of flour, i.e., unbleached, all purpose, etc.?
