These Christmas Sugar cookies are not only adorable but they are so easy to make. You can even use a ready made store-bought cookie if you want to make this Christmas treat really fast. These Snowman cookies are lot’s of fun and kids young and old love them. For this Christmas party recipes I used edible markers.
INGREDIENTS:
1 Cup unsalted butter
1 Cup granulated white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
2 teaspoons baking powder
3 cups all purpose flour
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350° F.
cream butter and sugar until smooth and light in color
Beat in the extract and egg.
Add the remaining ingredients.
The dough will be stiff and you will need to knead it like a bread dough until in comes together.
Divide into workable batches, roll out onto a floured surface and cut in to rounds 1/4 inch thick.
Bake at 350 for 6-8 minutes. Let cool on the cookie sheet until firm enough to transfer to a cooling rack.
To decorate use white icing to make a Snowman puddle and place the decorated marshmallow on top and allow to set.
Finish off by adding the black and orange of the snowman. You can use edible writing pens if you are like me and do not have a steady hand.
