Here is why I’m so amazed by Callye of The Sweet Adventures of Sugarbelle. It takes a certain level of artistic genius to recreate the artistic genius of Dr. Seuss so utterly perfectly. But then, she also recreated the artistic genius of Dr. Seuss with icing. Simply stunning. Find the tribute–with tutorial for the Green Eggs and Ham cupcake toppers– HERE at The Sweet Adventures of Sugarbelle.

It’s not a tutorial. She’s just showing what she made. What a let down. My 2 year old LOVES Dr. Seuss and I’d have loved to make them for her.

I meant just the cupcake topper, not the rest of the cookies. She shows how to assemble the cookie shapes for the topper. There is also a link to TidyMom’s cupcake recipe. And follow the link to 30 Handmade Days for a printable cupcake topper.

And PS. If it helps…. this is how I would decorate the cookies: Make royal icing, tint white, black and green. Prepare a decorating bag with a size “3” tip and fill with black. Outline the cookies in black and let the outline set. Thin the green and white icing a bit, use a decorating bag with the tip snipped or just a small spoon to flood the cookies with green and white. Let set very very well, then use a black edible writer to sketch on top.
