Here is a little read to enjoy with your tea or coffee. Being a tomboy, I spent more time playing with my brother’s trucks than with my Barbie dolls. I’m not trying to jump on the neutral gender train, for me it is more about the kids enjoying life before they have to grow up and deal with what society feels is right. Let them live like Peter Pan, but give them guidance along the way. Set up rules for them to follow, but pick and choose your battles. With a teen daughter it is hard, but so far I have won the battles that I felt were important to win and will continue. I know behind those evil glares, she is listening, learning and knows I do it because I love her. Most importantly, remember to always tell them you love them. Epescially on those days, you want to rip your hair out.
