DIY Pup Pops
We are going to the dogs! The dog days of summer can be hot for the pooches to, so here is a healthy treat you can make to keep them cool. They know longer have to drool and wish you would share some of your ice cream with them and although ice cubes are great, they would like something with some flavor sometimes too.

Click here on The Etsy Blog where Heather Baird shares her recipe she uses for her pups.

It is noisy, it flips and spins and has a spout for him to grab.

15 Irresistible Feijoa Recipes to Savor This Summer

Okay, I’ll be real with you—until recently, I’d never even seen a feijoa, let alone tasted one. But after getting a bunch of messages from readers asking for feijoa recipes, I figured it was time to find out what all the fuss was about. So, here we are—me, deep-diving into the world of this quirky little fruit (that apparently smells like perfume and tastes like a tropical party), and you, hopefully ready to discover your new summer obsession. Let’s do this!

If you’ve never tried feijoas before, you’re in for a treat! Also called pineapple guavas, these little green fruits have a unique flavor that’s perfect for both sweet and savory dishes. Whether you’re baking, blending, or grilling, feijoas can do it all. Here are 15 must-try feijoa recipes to help you make the most of this summer’s feijoa bounty.

 Sweet Feijoa Treats
1. Feijoa Crumble Slice
This one’s super simple and hits the spot every time. It has an oaty base, a tangy feijoa filling, and a crunchy topping. Serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and you’ve got yourself a delicious dessert.

Think shortcake, but better. This recipe takes a classic shortcake and gives it a spicy twist that pairs perfectly with the feijoa’s sweetness. It’s a cozy, comforting treat for any occasion.

4. Feijoa Muffins
Feijoa muffins are light, fluffy, and full of flavor. They’re perfect for breakfast, a snack, or just to munch on whenever you need something tasty. Plus, they’re super easy to make!

5. Feijoa Loaf
This feijoa loaf is super versatile—you can bake it as a full loaf or in muffin tins for a smaller portion. It’s moist, flavorful, and perfect for an afternoon tea or a quick snack.

 Savory Feijoa Dishes
6. Smoked Fish & Feijoa Salad
Feijoas are great in salads! This one combines the smokiness of fish with the bright, zesty flavor of feijoas for a salad that’s fresh, flavorful, and totally unique.

7. Feijoa & Chicken Curry
This fragrant curry brings together the warmth of spices and the sweetness of feijoas for a dish that’s a little bit sweet and a little bit tangy. It’s a great twist on your usual curry.

8. Feijoa Salsa
Feijoa salsa is a must-try! It’s vibrant and tangy and pairs beautifully with grilled meats, tacos, or just served with some crunchy chips. It’s a fun way to use feijoas in a savory dish.

9. Feijoa Canapés

10. Feijoa & Pecan Guacamole

 Refreshing Feijoa Drinks

Homemade jelly? Yes, please! Feijoas and boysenberries come together in this delicious spread that’s perfect for toast, pastries, or just spooning straight from the jar.

15. Feijoa Chutney
This feijoa chutney is a great way to add some zing to your meals. Pair it with grilled meats, cheeses, or even some roasted veggies. It’s sweet, tangy, and full of flavor.

 Tips for Enjoying Feijoas
Selecting Feijoas: Look for feijoas that yield to a little pressure—this means they’re ripe and ready to eat.

Storing Feijoas: If they’re not ripe yet, just leave them at room temperature until they soften. Once they’re ripe, pop them in the fridge to keep them fresh.

Using Feijoas: Whether you’re adding them to smoothies, salads, or baking them into treats, feijoas are super versatile and add a unique flavor wherever you use them.
