Friday was my eldest daughter’s 5th birthday. I still can’t believe it, she seems so big but at the same time is still my baby. She got lots of gifts and was the birthday princess for the day but we didn’t throw her a party, as my sister who lives in
England will be here next week for a visit and we want her to be at the party, so it will be worth the wait.We have decided on a fairy party she is only inviting girls, so I have of course starting buying craft supplies and have been searching the web for party ideas.
There are so many fun sites and blogs out there, which have been a real help, here are links to just a few of them:
Here are some pictures of the coolest fairy party birthday cakes on coolest-birthday-cakes.com
I found some fantastic fairy recipes on cooks.com.
I loved this and just wanted to share with you, Kate Dawson, from
Australia, won the SA Gastronomy Competition 2003 – Food Art Category with her party plate which is almost entirely made of clay!
It looks like it’s going to take forever to go through all the sites I found and look for fun fairy food for the party. I’m also counting on my mom and sister for some great ideas (did I mention that my sister is a chef?) but I will definitely let you know how the planning progresses, and if you have any fun fairy food ideas to share I’d love to hear about them! <!– D(["mb","–>
