Did you know they discovered an egg substitute using brine from chickpeas (garbanzo beans)? Aquafaba is the term meaning liquid from beans. I’m always late to trends and discoveries. Apparently, it was discovered in February 2015. I won’t repeat the information found on A Taste of Memories–Echo’s Kitchen. This might help those that are looking for a substitute to make the meringues, macarons or other items that use egg whites.
