Nutty Buddy Inspired Cupcakes

August 31, 2015 by Carolyn Bickford

nutty buddy inspired cupcakes
I love Nutty Buddy ice cream cones. My favorite part was the chocolate coating with the nuts. Am I the only one that took the nuts on the bottom of the bag and poured them onto the ice cream? I am so excited to make these cupcakes. I might actually sprinkle some sugar cone to the frosting before dipping.

August 30, 2015 by Carolyn Bickford

the-best-gluten-free-chocolate-chip-cookies
When I eat a cookie, I want it to be soft and chewy. The gluten-free cookies that I have tried are usually the opposite. Michaell at Foodscape is in agreement with me and has created a softer gluten-free chocolate chip cookie. While I’m trying to eat healthier, it can be hard to let go of some of the comfort foods, … Read More ...

caramel apple pie bars
As the saying goes, “An apple a day, keeps the Dr. away”. I’m pretty sure they don’t mean having the apples like this. Fall is the start of my baking season and that begins with an apple pie, apple sauce, cupcakes and now these. I love apples and caramel together. It is just a wonderful combination, especially when you use … Read More ...

Carrot Cake Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting

August 29, 2015 by Carolyn Bickford

carrot cake bars
I love carrot cake, but I hate that so many people put raisins in them. Plus, it is usually like three layers of cake. Since I’m not a raisin, big dessert or cake person, it is too much for me. I think I have found my solution. Plus, it has less sugar, oil and no raisins!

Frosted Oatmeal Zucchini Cookies

August 28, 2015 by Carolyn Bickford

frosted zucchini oatmeal cookies
It seems every year someone has more zucchinis than they could possibly eat or freeze for later use. Why is that? If only I had that problem with my cucumbers and tomatoes every year. If you are tired of your zucchini breads, maybe these oatmeal cookies can be the perfect change.

OMG! I am so making these, but I will try it with regular chocolate. I’m not a big white chocolate fan. I know I am so picky! I might have to make a double batch, because we will probably eat the first batch. This is a great item to bring to potlucks or even gifts for a hostess or neighbors … Read More ...

Here is a dessert that is easy if you use store bought puff pastry. I know I don’t have the patience or the ability to make my own pastry recipe. I seem to be a sucker for layered desserts.
