I’m completely and totally intrigued by this submission from The Pickled Herring: Swedish Egg Coffee, as in, adding an egg, shell and all, when you brew coffee, apparently a “crazy Swedish concoction.” I’m going to try this. My Aunt use to do this often back in the 50 & 60’s (in Iowa) when I was growing up. She had a large white enamal coffee pot and she cracked the egg and threw the whole thing in on top of the grounds.

I’ve heard of putting egg shells in the coffee, but never the whole egg.
