You don’t know Cronuts? Cronut’s are a craze sweeping New York city since Dominique Ansel’s bakery started selling them from the flagship store. Lines start forming in front of the store well before opening. Only 300 of these things are made each day and sell out within minutes.
Dominique Ansel’s site gives you a 101 on the basics of what a Cronut is. Half Croissant and Half Donut is a perfectly good summation. And they look yummy!
Since not everyone can be in NY or have the time to line up for 2 hours, Edd Kimber, a blogger from England who won the British series “The Great British Bake-Off” and calls himself “The Boy Who Bakes” posted a version of Cronuts that can be made at home.
Go get his version on how to make a cronut at home.
