Crispy Bacon Grilled Cheese Roll Ups

May 1, 2014 by Carolyn Bickford

Two favorite foods rolled into one! Okay, maybe not to everyone.

I was out with my friends one day, and we were talking about food. One of my friends mentioned how much she loved bacon sandwiches. I had never had one before, so she decided to make me one.

I was really excited to try it, but when I took my first bite, I was really disappointed. It was just a piece of bacon between two slices of bread. I mean, don’t get me wrong, bacon is delicious. But a bacon sandwich? It just didn’t do it for me.

I think the problem was that I was expecting something different. I was expecting something more than just bacon and bread. I was expecting something special. But in the end, it was just a sandwich.  So I set out to find a bacon sandwich that was so much more than just bacon on bread.

Holly at Spend with Pennies shows you how to roll a grilled cheese sandwich with bacon. Great idea! Holly has lots of great ideas, including a no-bake rolo pie that caught my eye. Check out her site!

This might be the perfect pick me up for the rainy and chilly forecast this weekend. Now to figure out if we will watch a movie or play board games while enjoying them.

These don’t have to be just for breakfast, perfect for afternoon snacks or midnight feasts too. If you love bacon you are going to love these!

We love Bacon here at Craftgossip, in face we actually created a Pinterest board just for Bacon. THE WORLDS BEST BACON RECIPES.

Crazy about bacon? So I was looking around for new Bacon recipes and guess what I came across?

No, seriously you will never ever guess. A Bacon Scratch and Sniff cookbook!  I know you are as curious as me right now and that is why I just had to buy it too as a gift for my bacon-loving husband.

The Bacon Scratch & Sniff Cookbook promises to sway even the most hardened vegetarians with its forty bacon-centric recipes (not to mention its nifty scratch-and-sniff feature on the book’s cover)—from piggy snacks, including caramel bacon popcorn, candied bacon strips, and bacon-wrapped sweet potato wedges, to heartier main dishes like bacon-covered mac-and-cheese burgers, smoky bacon tacos, and the ultimate pasta carbonara. Did we mention dessert too? You’ll also find bacon and pecan ice cream, choc-bacon cookies, and everything bacon imaginable. It’s time to pig out, because everything is better with bacon!

Seriously? Do people even care about their health and well being? I’m all for yummy but this looks like instant heartburn and is why most Americans are sporting an extra 15 pounds or so. And the scariest thing…most of you drooling over this “recipe” are probably wishing profoundly that they were only a mere 15 pounds overweight. The choices we make are why we’re happy or not. Food that doesn’t nourish the body as well as the soul are why you feel like crap. Just sayin’….
