Here I thought I was oh so very clever with my cornucopia, ’til I saw this one from The Dollhouse Bake Shoppe. All mine needed was 20 seconds in the microwave. Brilliant. Find the how-tos HERE at The Dollhouse Bake Shoppe.

What a great idea for the ice creme cone cornucopia! We are going to use them as name plates for Thanksgiving.
But–standing upright in the microwave or over steam didn’t work for us. So, just in case anyone else had tough ice cream cones–we (that’s me and my 11 year old son) wrapped the bottom third in a paper towel, ran water to fully soak the paper towel, microwved it for 40 secounds, and then wrapped the end of the cone, still in the paper towel, around a small round utensil and held it for about 15 seconds until set, then took off the paper towel. Worked great, and my son can’t wait to fill them with candy corn, m and m’s etc. Thanks for the idea!
