Santa Claus and Snowman Pancakes For Christmas

December 25, 2013 by Carolyn Bickford

Merry Christmas to those that celebrate this holiday! Did you have a big breakfast for Christmas? I grew up with fruit and nuts in my stocking and a couple of chocolates to enjoy until our feast for lunch. This might be a great surprise for the morning, whether you celebrate Christmas or not. The recipe used is for vegan pancakes, but you can replace it with your favorite pancake recipe. Interested in making these check out The Taste of Japan blogspot.

Speaking of holidays, I’m already looking ahead to Christmas 2025, and I’m so excited because this year, we’ll be hosting Christmas at our house for the very first time! The grandbabies will be coming over, and I can’t wait to make everything extra special for them. I’m planning on making these Santa Claus and Snowman pancakes as part of our Christmas morning breakfast. Imagine their little faces lighting up as they dig into these adorable, festive pancakes – it’s going to be priceless!

Last Christmas, we spent it at my daughter’s house, and I watched her make the most amazing pancakes for the kids. I couldn’t stop thinking how fun it would be to have a holiday breakfast of my own with all the grandkids. So, this year, I’m determined to bring the same joy to our home. I’ve already got the ingredients ready, and the plan is to have a pancake station set up where the kids can choose their favorite toppings and help decorate their pancakes with whipped cream, fruit, and maybe even a little bit of edible glitter (because why not?).

I remember when my own kids were little, and we’d make holiday breakfasts together. There’s something magical about starting the day with a festive, family-centered activity, and I want to recreate that same feeling for my grandbabies. These pancakes are going to be part of a bigger tradition I’m creating for them. I can already picture the kids giggling as they try to decorate their Santa pancakes and laughing when they make a snowman look a little too silly. It’s those little moments that make the holiday season so special.

I’m definitely planning to make this an annual tradition, and I hope these pancakes inspire you to start your own! Whether you’re hosting or just having a quiet holiday morning, making fun food together is a great way to create lasting memories with your family. It doesn’t take much – just a little creativity, some fun toppings, and lots of love.

So, as Christmas 2025 gets closer, I’ll be sure to take lots of pictures of our pancake-filled morning. I’m sure it’s going to be a day to remember, and I’ll be so glad we started this tradition together. I encourage you to try these Santa and Snowman pancakes too – they’ll surely become a holiday favorite in your household, just like they will in mine! Happy holiday planning, and I’ll see you in the kitchen next time!
