Or this article from the New York Times that questions why we even need trends. So when CakeSpy weighed in to defend cupcakes, I had to agree. As I noted there, cake has a firmly established grasp on our rituals. And cupcakes are convenient versions of cake. I think cupcakes are here to stay. And also, “Welcome, pie.”

Method
