Here is a quick dessert for those last-minute guests or party you get invited to. I know it is best to make desserts from scratch, but sometimes you have no choice but to either buy something or make it from a cake mix box. I don’t have them anymore, but this recipe will work great for those night before the bake sale request.

What a rip off! makes you sign up then takes you thru several sales sites then you have to sign up with ‘free’ e-cookbooks, never did find the recipe

Here’s a link that works: http://www.justapinch.com/recipes/dessert/cake/lazy-cake-cookies.html
These sound great and easy-peasy! (I don’t normally say that word, but it fit.)

The JustAPinch site had the recipe, thank you duchick! It is similar as one I have which recommends 1/3 cup oil or 1/2 cup applesauce and only 6 semisweet chocolate chips. You can also drop dough by teaspoonfuls or roll into walnut sized balls (then flatten a bit) – makes about 2 dozen. Variations include Carrot cake mix with white chocolate chips; chocolate cake mix with peanut butter chips; devils food cake mix with toffee bits chips; German chocolate cake mix with pecans and coconut; white cake mix with crushed pineapple (drained) and coconut. The recipe doubles/triples well
