Jack Skellington Skeleton Halloween Oreo Cookies

October 6, 2020 by Shellie Wilson

Halloween is the perfect excuse to bring a little spooky magic into the kitchen, and what better way to do it than with a treat inspired by one of the most iconic characters of all time—Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas! These Jack Skellington Halloween Oreo Cookies are not only delicious, but they’re also incredibly easy to make, even if you don’t consider yourself a professional baker. With just a handful of ingredients and a little black sparkle gel, you can transform ordinary Oreos into creepy-cute faces that are guaranteed to steal the show at your Halloween party, classroom celebration, or even a cozy family movie night.

What I love most about this recipe is how approachable it is—there’s no baking required, and the decorating process is simple enough for kids to join in. In fact, these cookies double as a fun Halloween activity. Just set out the cookies, the melted coating, and the decorating gel, and let everyone create their own version of Jack Skellington’s spooky grin. No two faces will ever look alike, and that’s part of the charm!

They also make a fantastic last-minute treat when you need something festive but don’t have time to fuss with complicated recipes. You can whip up a whole batch in under 30 minutes, and the results look like you spent hours crafting them. Whether you’re planning a Tim Burton-themed Halloween, want a no-stress dessert for trick-or-treat night, or are simply a fan of The Pumpkin King, these Jack Skellington Oreo Cookies are a must-try. They’re quick, creative, and absolutely unforgettable—just like Halloween itself.

Jack Skellington Inspired Chocolate Covered Oreos

Jack Skellington is a character and the main protagonist of the 1993 film The Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack is the “Pumpkin King” of Halloween Town, a fantasy world based solely on the Halloween holiday.  Wikipedia

Wow, can’t believe it was back in 93 that this film came out. It has had a huge impact on the crafting world, finally a new character other than Jack o lantern, Witches and ghosts for Halloween and of course this Character fits in perfectly for Christmas time too. Lot’s of fun to be created with Halloween parties themed around The Nightmare Before Christmas. You can grab party decorations here too.
