How To Have A DIY Cacao Ceremony

Cacao Ceremony Kit

What you will need

Ceremony Cacao

A cacao ceremony traditionally involves creating a sacred environment, setting an intention, and allowing an energetic process to unfold around that intention.

Cacao is packed full of vitamins and minerals and increases blood flow to the brain which helps to strengthen awareness and focus. It helps the body to heal, and detoxify, and gives your immune system a good boost.

There are many ways to host your own cacao ceremony, and all styles and interpretations are welcome. So, it is encouraged to share from your heart, from a place of authenticity and love.

Cacao ceremonies are a type of shamanic healing – which is one of the oldest holistic healing practices used by indigenous cultures all over the world. Traditionally Cacao Ceremonies have been conducted by the Maya and Ancient Aztec civilizations.

Your ceremony can be as simple as taking a moment to drink your hot cocoa and give gratitude for things in your life, or you may wish to meditate, listen to healing music say a prayer to the cacao gods, or invite love and peace into your heart.  No matter what your intentions for this ritual are, just take a moment, a moment to breathe.

Step 1: Create a calm ceremonial place,

Step 2: Remove distractions

Step 3: Take a cup of hot water or milk and gently place the cacao into the mug.

Step 4: Take a deep breath in and out as you stir the cacao into the water.

Step 5:  State your intention and or gratitude- When we state our intention, we direct focused energy to its specific place.

Raw cacao contains many essential vitamins and minerals that fight depression and reduce anxiety. Cacao is a great source of iron and magnesium.
