Foodtourist.com, “dedicated to food lovers throughout the world,” is an incredible resource for the foodie traveller. Find restaurants, cooking schools and programs, the best wines, gourmet-friendly hotels, markets, produce, books and more in tons of cities worldwide. They are based in Australia and France, so reviews are more heavily focused in these areas, but the rest of the world is still well represented. And as they note, while they include some fine, expensive restaurants, reviewers stray to more wallet-friendly joints and unlikely places as well (like skewered lamb in a market in Thessaloniki or finding fermented durian in a back street in Kuala Lumpur (see the “About” page).
