Eggs and toast is nothing new. I never thought to make toast out of leftover garlic bread. I hate to waste food, and big on finding creative ways to use leftovers. Anina from Aninas Recipes was inspired to use leftover garlic bread as her toast one morning. Such a simple idea, I never thought of before. Next time I have leftover garlic bread, I’m going to have it for breakfast and my creative idea is to turn it into croutons for my salads.

Here are my favorite recipes for three different types of flavored butter, including a homemade garlic butter:
1. How To Make Herb Butter:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped mixed fresh herbs (such as parsley, thyme, rosemary, and chives)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Pinch of black pepper
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped herbs, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Use a spatula or mixer to thoroughly blend the ingredients until well combined.
- Transfer the herb butter to a clean jar or container.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage.
2. Honey Cinnamon Butter:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, honey, cinnamon, and salt.
- Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Transfer the honey cinnamon butter to a clean jar or container.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage.
3. How To Make Homemade Garlic Butter:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Pinch of black pepper
Instructions:
- In a small skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of the butter over low heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, cooked garlic (along with any melted butter in the skillet), chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Transfer the garlic butter to a clean jar or container.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage.
