Make your food sparkle with edible glitter. This would be perfect for decorating the princess cakes or cookies. Of course you could just pick up some sparkle sugar, unless you’re like me and forget to buy it. You have a back up plan and can make your own.
During the holidays there are a lot of recipes for reindeer food and they make it with oats and glitter. Please do not use craft glitter in the reindeer food, it is toxic to the animals. We love the magic of Christmas, but we don’t want to harm the wildlife. We received a bag one year and left it next to Santa’s cookies, so he could make sure each reindeer got some. I would recommend buying a small bag of wild bird seeds, corn and nuts (should be next to the bird seeds) to give to the kids to spread out on the lawn. You can add a little edible glitter or sprinkles to the mix for the sparkle. The wildlife will appreciate it and if the kids see the birds eating the food, just say the reindeer always shares. They receive the food from so many houses, they don’t need to eat it all. Or just buy some carrots to put next to the cookies.
