Thanks so much for posting both ideas for the Dr. Seuss hat snack! I’m looking forward to using the bananas and strawberries. You’re so creative!

My son was just in the musical Seussical and we had to make treats to sell at the concession stand. I found your idea on the web and made them. I posted a picture on my flickr account and posted the link above. Hopefully you can see it. I was wondering if you have any suggestions for not having the fruit roll up stick to the plastic bag?
Another way to do these that is a little less time consuming it so use strawberry marshmallows. I layered them pink, white, pink, then the big base. For the big marshmallows I used the JUMBO ones that they sell and just cut them in thirds, stretched them out a little, and they were perfect and much easier. Just wanted to tell you so when you make them again you could try that. I would pat them in powered sugar so they wouldn’t be too sticky.
Thanks for your idea. They made almost 100 dollars for our theater group.

That’s fantastic Melissa! I think that was Kitchen Fun with My 3 Sons’s idea. She has lots of kid-friendly ideas. Unfortunately, those fruit roll ups are just plain sticky. I’ve worked with them before, too. I suppose you could dust them with powdered sugar, though that would leave a white film. Still, less sticky.
Thanks for sharing!! They look fabulous!
