This is the time of year when the food banks need some extra love. Our school system, mail system and some charity groups put out a request for canned goods to give to the food shelters. If you want to give, but not sure what to give besides canned vegetables, here is a helpful list. We should do this all year around, not just during the holidays. It is simple, if there is an item on sale, pick up an extra one and bring it to your local or nearby shelter.

What would really help is if you tape that can of tuna to a box of Tuna Helper. Ditto for the spaghetti sauce, tape a package of spaghetti to it. That makes it easy for all concerned.
