This will be a time saver to try.
Goodeness Gracious found a recipe in the Gooseberry Patch recipe book that she has shared on her blog. Pie Crust mix that is made with shortening and can be stored in air tight container in the pantry. All you have to do is add water when you are ready to make a pie. The mix is enough for two pie crusts. She also has a follow up to the post to answer some questions that people had.

So basically, homemade Bisquick.

No, not basically homemade Bisquick. That has different flour, as well as shortening, ratio, non-fat dry milk, sugar, baking powder & soda, and cream of tartar. I don’t think I’d try to make pie crust with that, but if you do, let us know how it turned out.
