5 Christmas-Themed Ninja Slushie Recipes Festive Frozen Drinks for Hot Aussie Holidays

November 15, 2025 by Shellie Wilson

If there’s one appliance that earns its keep in my kitchen every December, it’s my Ninja Slushie Maker. Honestly, the thing is a Christmas miracle. You pour in a cold liquid, press a button, and out comes a perfectly frosty, fluffy slushie without a single ice cube involved. Which is perfect for those of us who want something festive and refreshing without watering our drinks down.

And because Christmas in Australia is basically “sweaty with fairy lights,” these cold holiday slushies hit the spot every single time. Perfect for backyard BBQs, Christmas Eve nibbles, girly catch-ups, or the late-night wrapping marathon we all pretend we won’t do again.

Here are five Christmas-themed Ninja Slushie recipes, all made with liquid only — the Ninja does the rest.

I have to give a shout out to my all time favorite slushie cup these Margarita double wall tumblers are perfect for all cocktail types. I was gifted a pair of these for Christmas and I am in Love and use mine every slushie mix!

1. Candy Cane Vanilla Snow Slushie

Sweet, creamy, and peppermint-kissed — like drinking Christmas morning.

This one is a huge hit with the girls at our place. It pours out light, fluffy and white, with that gentle peppermint tingle.

You’ll Need:
• ¾ cup cold vanilla oat milk
• ¼ cup cold coconut cream
• ½ tsp maple syrup (optional)
• A tiny drop of peppermint extract (it’s strong!)
• Crushed candy cane for topping

How to Make It:
Pour everything (except the candy cane) into the Ninja Slushie Maker and let it chill into fluffy “snow.”
Top with crushed candy cane.
Sip. Sigh. Christmas.

2. Gingerbread Chai Christmas Slushie

All the warm festive spices… but refreshing, not heavy.

This is the one I make when I want the flavour of a gingerbread latte without feeling like I’m drinking hot soup in summer.

You’ll Need:
• 1 cup cold brewed chai (unsweetened)
• ¼ cup cold coconut milk
• ½ tsp gingerbread spice
• Vanilla paste
• Sweetener if needed

How to Make It:
Shake the liquids together so the spices dissolve, pour into the Ninja Slushie Maker, and let it turn into the coldest, fluffiest iced chai of your life.

3. Frozen Cranberry Rosé Christmas Slushie

A gorgeous ruby-coloured drink that looks like it belongs on a magazine cover.

This one is grown-up, tart, and perfect for Christmas afternoon when the sun is high and the kids are feral.

You’ll Need:
• ½ cup cold rosé
• ½ cup cold cranberry juice
• Splash of lime
• Small squeeze of honey

How to Make It:
Mix, chill well in the fridge, then pour into the Ninja.
It comes out silky, jewel-toned, and dangerously drinkable.
Garnish with a rosemary sprig if you want to look fancy.

4. White Christmas Piña Colada Slushie

A tropical nod to our Aussie summer with a snowy, creamy finish.

This one tastes like a beach holiday wrapped in tinsel.

You’ll Need:
• ½ cup cold coconut milk
• ½ cup cold pineapple juice
• 1 tbsp vanilla
• Optional: a splash of white rum for adults

How to Make It:
Shake everything together, pour into the Ninja Slushie Maker, and let the magic happen.
Top with coconut flakes for the “snow.”

5. Spiced Apple Cider Slushie

All the cosy Christmas flavours without the heat.

If mulled cider had a summery cousin, this would be it.

You’ll Need:
• 1 cup cold apple cider (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)
• ¼ cup cold apple juice
• Cinnamon
• Tiny pinch nutmeg
• Optional: spiced rum

How to Make It:
Stir your spices into the liquid first so they don’t clump.
Pour into the Ninja Slushie Maker and let it churn into a cold, cinnamon-kissed slush.
