When the Sandwich Qualifies as “Edible Crafts”

Perhaps the title is misleading in suggesting there are limited moments when a sandwich can make this column, as I do believe you can do much to elevate the sandwich to art: crafting the exactly right proportions of well-represented food groups between delicately chosen and cut pieces of bread. O’ sandwich, the perfect and brilliant lunch. Thank you, Earl of Sandwich for your genius. Scanwiches.com, a photo collection of one New Yorker’s daily sandwiches, allows us to appreciate the genius of the sandwich. Jon Chonko, the graphic designer behind the site (according to The Washington Post), scans his lunch daily on a flatbed scanner for us all to see.
