And speaking of edible crafts you can’t consume (see yesterday’s post)…. These towel dessert favors are adorable. I’m guessing some of you clever crafters out there can figure out how to make your own, but if not, they are available at americanbridal.com and beau-coup.com. They come in different “flavors” of cheesecakes, cakes, mousses and parfaits.
Apparently, food-inspired items like this are big in Japan. (Check out this “trends in Japan” blog.) The Japanese company that originally designed a much more extensive line of towel-desserts is “Le Patissier.” I’ve included the link for those that can read Japanese. (You can click on “Products,” as the title is in English, to see a vast array of yummy looking towel desserts if you need inspiration, much more than are available on the above sites.)
