Just to answer Leslie (don’t worry, I’ll take my comment out of the running!), the licorice CA raisins sent me was “Haribo Licorice Wheels”. You can see them if you search for them on amazon.com. You peel apart the licorice to make the legs. But I would also search for “black licorice lace” online. I bet most candy stores will have it, too, a place that only sells candy. Do you have a major mall near you? Most malls have at least one candy store. I’ve also had trouble at those chain places finding anything but red licorice. The wheels might be more available though.

Where does a person buy thin licorice strips? I’ve looked all over: Wallgreens, Target, Kroger, Tom Thumb. Twizlers has a pull-apart version, but only in red flavors. Help.

Yum! I make something like these but with natural PB. I never thought to put raisins in them. I also like the idea of making them into spiders. I will have to give that a try. Thanks for the idea.
