bakesale_ccfaI was just about to say “little known fact about me–I don’t have a colon,” but as I’ve posted on my medical past before, have linked to this essay I wrote in the Journal of General Internal Medicine, and have just facebooked and tweeted my surgical history to promote this Bake Sale, it’s totally NOT a little known fact. So anyhoo, yeah, I lost my large intestine to Ulcerative Colitis back in 1992. Since then I’ve had many hospitalizations, complications from auto-immune disease, further surgeries, and all kinds of unfun stuff. Which is why I happily donated a copy of Sugarlicious and 12 cookie pops to this Bake Sale to benefit the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America at Wanna Be a Country Cleaver. To view the 30-plus sweets and treats up for sale and for details on how to bid, CLICK HERE to go to Country Cleaver.
