Microwave Potato Chips

May 18, by Carolyn Bickford. 1 Comment

microwave potato chips

Love salty snacks? Did you think you could make chips in the microwave? Skeptical?

All the above for me, but Nicole Harris from Wonky Wonderful has the recipe to make crispy chips in the microwave. She uses a mandoline to cut the chips.
If you have never used a madoline, be very careful. I got a very small individual one from Homegoods a few years ago, but not sure if they still sell them. If you don’t have one, then hopefully you have knife skills to cut the potatoes thin. I would fail a knife skills challenge!
Place the chips on a parchment covered microwave safe dish and microwave for 60 – 90 increments till crispy.(times will vary due to thickness and microwaves)

One of her readers tried the recipe and it was a complete success. Looks like I need to put potatoes on the shopping list.

You could also use a vegetable peeler to get nice thin cuts off the potato for your chips 🙂
