Have you ever heard of switchel or hay makers punch? It is a cold drink farmers used to keep hydrated while working the fields. It has apple cider vinegar and a natural sweetener such as honey or maple syrup. Most also are made with ginger which will calm the stomach. It is making a comeback in some parts and can even be found in some cocktails. This recipe from Healthy Seasonal Recipes doesn’t have ginger, but you will still have the benefits of apple cider vinegar. Sounds refreshing after a day out in the yard, mowing, weeding and gardening.
