UPDATE! We have a winner!! Congratulations so Sheila!! Her comment was randomly drawn to win. Thank you to all for participating! I loved reading about all the goodies you will be baking. And now fingers crossed we all have good things come our way, too
.

This is huge people. Huge. The hugest giveaway I’ve hosted. A giveaway I wish so desperately I myself could win, because the lovely folks at KitchenAid are giving one of you a:
KitchenAid® 7-qt. Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer.
It’s my dream standing mixer, and it retails for $650!! I just replaced my 20-plus year old (yeah, 20 years) KitchenAid with a KitchenAid 5-Quart®, but imagine what you could mix up with 7-quarts to play with! Or don’t imagine, I’ll tell you: “8 1/2 lbs of mashed potatoes, 8 1/2 loaves of bread and 14 dozen cookies.” Sigh.
This is KitchenAid‘s most efficient, most powerful, quietest, longest lasting standing mixer ever. It comes in Red, Silver, Black or White (your choice), and the dishwasher-safe accessories include a stainless steel 11-wire Elliptical whip and a coated metal flat beater and dough hook.

Want to try and win one? Yeah, I do, too.
THE GIVEAWAY!!!
Deadline to enter: March 21st, midnight, EST
Required Entry: Leave a comment here telling me the first thing you’ll mix up if you win this incredible KitchenAid® 7-Quart standing mixer.
Optional Second Entry: Visit KitchenAid’s facebook page and Like them. Then come back to this post and tell me you visited KitchenAid.
US address only.
Winner drawn randomly.

A CHALLAH every week for my grandchildren, 5 & 2. (It’s a braided egg bread eaten by Jewish people the world over for Friday night Shabbat dinner) I used to make home made challah all the time, but now, this baby boomer (65!)has osteoarthritis in my hands and I can no longer kneed the dough. Sad, because the “grands” had so much fun braiding the dough into the traditional shape. It made them feel a real part of this wonderful tradition.
