The Popcorn Factory was my mom’s go-to gift for years: thank yous, teachers, doctors…Everyone got a tin of popcorn. And for every occasion throughout the school year, she sent us Popcorn Factory treats in college. So imagine the lovely nostalgia (and lovely aroma) when I opened my tin and saw that familiar circle of popcorn divided between cheddar, caramel and butter. Yummy memories.

Spooky Raisin Spiders GIVEAWAY!!!

Look at the spooky raisin spiders I made with the sweet, lovely box full o’ goodies that I received today from the sweet, lovely people at California Raisins. My box had everything I needed to make these yummy, creepy spiders. And I felt no guilt eating half of the batter, because they are healthy, made with almond butter, rice cereal and, of course, raisins. Find the how-tos to make raisin spiders HERE. As my 2-year old recently discovered a love of raisins, they are a treat I’ll happily let her have.

Celebrate National Punctuation Day

I am a firm believer in the proper use of punctuation, so imagine my glee upon reading The Washington Post’s (note the use of a possessive apostrophe) Metro section this morning that today is National Punctuation Day, founded by Jeff Rubin in 2004. Submit your baked good in the shape of a punctuation mark before September 30th for a chance to win.
