Again I find myself writing about something that is not at all edible (but is crafty and they do serve food). During my last wander around cyberspace I came across the SparkCrafts site. This looks like the kind of place where I could spend a LOT of time – in fact, I would rather spend the day there than in a spa! SprakCrafts was started by co-owners Jan Stephenson and Amy Appleyard, who met while attending Boston University’s MBA program. In January 2004, the women developed the Spark Craft Studios concept as part of a business plan project for a Social Entrepreneurship class. After hundreds of hours of research, Jan and Amy realized that many people were interested in a place where you could buy high-quality, beautiful craft supplies and then spread out in a stylish atmosphere full of resources, inspiration and peer motivation to help you complete your projects. SparkCrafts studio offers a wonderful experience, including craft parties, wine and craft events and tea and crafts. If you live in the area this is definitely somewhere to consider for your next girls’ night out!
